Brooklyn Favorites: Silya

She’s a singer, songwriter, performer, and one of those people that require only one name to be recognized. Silya moved to New York City from her native Norway in 2006 and quickly found her way to Brooklyn, where her pin-up looks and pop-cabaret sensibilities found an immediate and convivial home.  Most recently, she can be found performing with her band Silya & the Sailors at Manhattan’s Jazz Room at The General—we can tell you first-hand that it’s a show not to be missed!

YA SILYA!!!! I saw her with the sailors and was sold. Her Eurovision performance was ridiculoso.
